Sex Video: Police Should Stop Playing Games

From Malaysiakini

‘Deputy IGP, when is a good time to reveal the man in the sex video? One week before the general election?’

Deputy IGP: No need to reveal man in sex video, yet

Anonymous_3e86: The authorities are just playing a mind game. Yes, the video is authentic, but is the ‘actor’ a look-alike? The fact is that no crime was committed by the ‘actor’. The person who did the recording of the video should be charged instead.

The police should focus on who did the video recording and screening. Obviously, this is the work of BN/Umno. Why hasn’t the ‘Datuk T’ trio been charged till today? Why wait to reveal the identity? If it was indeed Anwar Ibrahim, they would have announced it already.

Instead the police left it to the public to assume it was Anwar. Do the police think we are that naive?

Tuah PJ: Deputy IGP Khalid Abu Bakar, the Datuk T trio showed pornography openly. Many witnesses were there and they too have confessed. There is no need for you to investigate. Just charge them and fine/jail them. Case closed. KPI met.

As for the actors in the video, they did not commit anything against the law. If the syariah office wants to charge the man in the video for khalwat, let them do the investigation and charge him. Do you need more education on how to do your job?

Been Laden: Personally, I don’t really care who the person is. What I want to know is why the police have not arrested the three datuks who screened an illegal video and distributed it.

What about the other man in the video who has officially identified himself – why isn’t he arrested for being a pimp? The police must act on whatever ‘law’ that has been violated rather than play politics.

Docs: Khalid, when is a good time to reveal the man in the sex video? One week before the general election?

Quigonbond: Basically the deputy IGP is saying he will use the information at an appropriate time, probably during the next general election campaign. If you have the information, spill it out now. Why wait for the general election, unless you’re working hand in glove with the BN parties.

Anonymous_40dc: “Investigations are still ongoing” means, “How can we find ways to nail Anwar Ibrahim? What other lies can we use?” At this point in time, the simplest way for anyone who wants a promotion is to fix Anwar.

Bozo: Come on Khalid, just expose the person in the videotape. Why wait until a suitable time? And why the foreign experts to identify this person. Is there no one in Malaysia who can do it? Shame on you. How much money did we pay to engage these foreign experts? Don’t play games with us.

Petestop: Those showing the porn video were given police protection, what more with bullet-proof vests at the mosque where one of them did the oath-taking. What need is there to investigate when the police were there as bodyguards to these alleged criminals. It is clear as to why the police did not charge these offenders.

Regardless of who is in the video, an offence has already been committed, and the police are obligated to uphold the law. But it seems that the police are only obligated to their political masters. It is not the Internet that spoiled the police’s reputation, it is their own actions.
