Snapshot Sunday: Gardens By The Bay, Singapore

Date Visited: 6th December 2014

When I stumbled upon photos of Gardens By The Bay from social media network two years ago, instantly I added this into the latest "must-visit" attraction for my next upcoming Singapore trip. I went Singapore twice last year; August with my family and December for my friend's wedding but I only managed to go there last month.

Singapore - Gardens By The Bay 02
#1: Gardens By The Bay Entrance

Right after I had dinner with my sister and her boyfriend in Chinatown area, we took cab directly to Gardens By The Bay instead of taking MRT as I need to rush to meet my friends who were waiting me there. We decided not to pay for the Entry to Flower Dome and Cloud Forest but spending our time freely roaming around the Supertree Grove as it's free of entrance.

#2: Supertree Grove

The best time to visit here would probably be after 6pm in order to enjoy the amazing sunset view by the bay and when the night takes over the day, these unique Supertrees will come alive with a dazzling and thrilling myriad of light displays bursting across the sky along with music and sounds played at night for 15 minutes exactly at 7.45pm and 8.45pm. You would totally be awe-inspired with Singapore's most beautiful masterpiece.

And now, let's the photos do the talk. Beware as I uploaded massive of photos for your viewing pleasure.

Snapshot Sunday: Putrajaya, Malaysia

I was in Putrajaya few days ago in conjunction with Girl Guides Malaysia National Annual General Meeting & Conference which held annually and the host for this year is none other than Putrajaya itself. Previously, I lived in Kuala Lumpur for almost 5 years but I never have the chance to visit this federal administrative centre of Malaysia, not until recently. And with this, I unofficially complete visited the whole 13 states and 3 federal territories of Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya).

The host was so kind that they even offered us few sightseeing tours around Putrajaya, including night cruise along the magnificent and magical Putrajaya Lake (Tasik Putrajaya) and here are few snapshots I took during the sightseeing:

Putrajaya - Perdana Putra
#1: Perdana Putra which houses the office complex of the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Putrajaya - Putra Mosque
#2: This pink-domed Putra Mosque is the principal mosque of this federal administrative capital.

Putrajaya - View from PICC Putrajaya
#3:Panoramic view of Putrajaya from Putrajaya International Conventional Centre (PICC).
The bridge on the left is Seri Gemilang Bridge and the fun fact of this bridge was it was built beforehand the man-made lake of Putrajaya.

Putrajaya - Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque
#4: Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque which also commonly known as "Iron Mosque" is the second principal mosque in Putrajaya.

Putrajaya - Seri Saujana Bridge
#5: Seri Saujana Bridge, a main bridge in Putrajaya. The design of bridge is unique cable-stayed arch bridge and it is resembles to the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia.

Putrajaya - Seri Wawasan Bridge
#6: Categorized as a 'signature bridge', Seri Wawasan Bridge is another main bridge of Putrajaya.

In the case where you didn't own any car to travel around just like me, there are few options available for you for a short tour around Putrajaya:

Putrajaya Sightseeing Tour
I'm not sure who and which offer the best affordable tour but I came across this half day tour around Putrajaya which is available in Putrajaya & Cyberjaya KLIA Transit Station.
Rate: RM15 nett for adult and RM7 nett for children.
Daily Pick-Up: 10:30am and 2.30pm except on Friday.

Cruise Tasik Putrajaya
As Putrajaya Lake is situated right in the heart of the administration city, the best ways to see the city's sights by day or night is by taking leisure lake cruise and for more info about this especially the rate, click here

Snapshot Sunday: My 2012 Year End Trip

My Year End Trip-2
Definitely and for sure, this is my final trip for the year 2012. Just like every year, no matter how many times I travelled, I will plan at least a trip for my dearest family and this time around, I planned for something different. Visited 3 different cities in a week via overland. We flew into Johor Bahru, then hired van driver to Singapore. Then from Singapore to Malacca and finally arrived in Kuala Lumpur. Initially was supposed a trip with my mom and siblings (dad was too busy with his works), ended up my aunt and cousins from Brunei joined us for the trip too. First time I planned for such a big group (there are 9 of us) from hotel arrangement to transportation mode. Another challenging tasks but I kinda love the feelings of doing so.

Snapshot Sunday: The Awesome Bloggers Gathering 2012

For my previous post under "Snapshot Sunday", it was where it served as a showcase of the photo I took from my previous trip and also serve for the purpose to reminiscence my old travel post, especially for the new readers. But for this post, I would like to blog something extraordinary from my usual posts.

Last year, both Armstrong and Rexs aka Aki organised Cute Bloggers Gathering (CBG) but I didn't managed to attend cause I was sick. Actually, for the past few days, I was being "attacked" by flu, cough and sorethroat again but I tried my best to attend for this time around. No regrets of attending this year The Awesome Bloggers Gathering 2012 (#TABG2012) cause I really have fun and at the same time, got to know more new friends/bloggers

#TABG2012

#TABG2012 took place at Party Play Lintas yesterday night, and during the four hours of gathering, we did ice-breaking, exchange gift, makan-makan and last but not least, phototaking is a must-do-things for all the bloggers.

I got to meet few of the bloggers where I stumbled their blog before but never got to meet in real person but yesterday night, I did; Aemy Nadira, Beaty John (so coincidentally, she is colleague of my very best friend), Wendy Wong and of couse, both of the organisers, Armstrong and Rexs aka Aki (his Afro hair is damn real for sure) met them for the very first time. Not forgetting to the four lovely and gorgeous ladies, Dyana Reds, Edith Joimin, Elwyna Hansel and Flo Nara, you gals don't mind to share a table with me eventhough we never know each other at all but you gals never stop from making that I was felt all alone by sharing with tons of interesting and funny conversation. Thank you, gals! And also to the organisers, thanks for organised this awesome and meaningful event/gathering.

Snapshot Sunday: Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy

Pisa Leaning Tower, Italy

When seeing one of this "Seven Wonders of The World", don't you feel want to do a pose to hold up and prevent this tower from falling? My friends and I did the same thing too. Guess, this is one of the popular tourist activity.

Snapshot Sunday: Disneyland Paris, France

"In a Magical Kingdom not so far away - somewhere between a place where you wish upon a star and dreams come true - classic Disney heroes and heroines live once upon a time in fairytales that are, happily, never ending."

Disneyland Paris, France

My first visit to a Disneyland Park and it was in Paris, France. The one and only Disneyland Park situated in Europe that definitely make you feel young at heart and like a little happy kid.

Snapshot Sunday: Eiffel Tower, France

Small Note: Another new segment of Travel & Living Journal of DT - "Snapshot Sunday". Besides to serve as showcase of the photo I took from my previous trip, this segment also serve for the purpose to reminiscence my old travel post, especially for the new readers. Most of the travel blog I bumped into will have something like "Travel Photo for the Week" but I came out with this segment. Don't want being recognise as copycat mah, as I damn hate copycat!

Eiffel Tower, France

Many people claimed this place to be City of Romance, but for me, it is one truly "City of Lights". Eiffel Tower is a prominent symbol for both France and Paris. A ring of 12 golden stars around Eiffel Tower represents France as part of the European Union.
